The M2 system uses two IBM PowerPC 602 CPUs. They are clocked at 66 MHz, and set up in a Master/Slave configuration.
It is a slightly cut back version of the existing IBM PowerPC 603 CPU, used in a handful of Apple's Macintosh computers.
